They use maths and science to accomplish extraordinary things and find solutions to some of the world’s most difficult challenges, from satellites to cell membranes.

Why is Engineering Important?

Engineering is more than just construction, contrary to popular belief. It is also about assessing the office’s safety systems. It provides solutions to a wide variety of industries, including medicine, space, entertainment, transportation, and the environment.

Every innovation and its operation rely on engineering in some way. Engineers can work in offices, labs, or outside, depending on their responsibilities. Engineering and technology are inextricably linked, and it has aided in the advancement of various industries.

The advent of the Internet has greatly aided this cause. The engineers use all their engineering and industry knowledge to create magic. Some notable benefits of studying Engineering include the following:

  • The opportunity to improve lives
  • The opportunity to innovate
  • Protecting the public and its interests
  • A wide range of career options
  • An elevated degree of trust
  • Higher earning potential
  • Safeguards against market forces

What after JEE Main is a question that haunts myriad aspirants who sit for the national level engineering entrance exam to test their capabilities to study across the best engineering colleges across the country. Numerous minds stay in dilemma once they appear in JEE Main for concerns like what if I don’t secure the JEE Main cut off or what are my career options after JEE Main? The story doesn’t end here. Furthermore, admission seekers keep worrying about aspects like, which colleges will I be eligible to apply for admission?” Or how to apply for the counselling based on my JEE Main scores?

The JEE Main entrance exam is conducted to get admission to various undergraduate engineering courses such as BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlan in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIS. In addition, several private institutes also consider the JEE Main result for admission to UG engineering courses. However, most students are confused about what to do after JEE Main.

Thus, to address many such aspects of what after qualifying JEE Main exam, this article comes to your rescue. Read through it and know what are your admission chances or what are your career options after JEE Main.

What to do after JEE Main 2022?

Whether you qualify JEE Main or don’t secure the JEE Main cutoff 2022, in either of the cases, you will have many options available. Thus, keep your worry aside and know your career options after JEE Main 2022. We have discussed different case scenarios here to make you aware of all the possibilities you have in hand after JEE Main.

Scenario 1- If you qualify for JEE Advanced 2022

Scenario 2 – If you don’t qualify for JEE Advanced – JoSAA counselling 2022 for NIT+ System

Scenario 3 – Private institutions/colleges that accept JEE Main scores 2022

Scenario 4 – State level exams

Scenario 5 – State level counselling/admissions

What after JEE Main Result – Scenario 1 (If you qualify for JEE Advanced)

In case you are able to secure yourself a rank within the top 2,50,000 rankers of JEE Main 2022 or say you are one of the top 2,50,000 rankers of JEE Main 2022, then you qualify for taking the JEE Advanced 2022 exam for admission to the prestigious IITs. The top 2,50,000 qualified candidates will be eligible to seek admission across the 23 IITs. However, to do so, you need to register for JoSAA counselling 2022. The stages involved in JoSAA counselling 2022 include registration, choice filling, choice locking, reporting, document verification and fee payment.

In another case scenario, if you don’t qualify for JEE Advanced, then admission to participating institutes of JEE Main is the alternate option for you. Don’t worry, the participating institutes of JEE Main are a good bet too. These are also government/govt. funded institutes (NITs, IIITs and CFTIs) of levels 2, 3, and 4 respectively, after the premium IITs. However, the requirement for admission to these institutes is securing the JEE Main qualifying cut-off. Post the JEE Main result declaration, candidates need to check their results and know the status – if they have secured the qualifying cutoff of JEE Main. In case they have, then they need to further register themselves for JoSAA counselling to complete the admission process at NIT+ System.

What should I do after JEE Mains result?

Among other academic institutes, BML Munjal holds a special place for offering admissions to B.Tech aspirants based on their JEE Main scores. However, for that, let’s know the eligibility criteria and basic requirements.

BML Munjal University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates appearing in Class 12th exams through any of the boards affiliated to the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) or national or international boards recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible to apply. Students studying under Indian boards should have secured a minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent scores) in four subjects, viz. Physics, Mathematics, English and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, and Technical Vocational subjects.
  • For Cambridge/lGCSE exams and exams of the approved British Examination bodies, candidates are required to have a minimum of five subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics at the A-level and English at AS-level.
  • For the lB Career Related programme (IBCP), students for engineering or medical strand graduating with 3 DP subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or other similar subjects) with at least 1 subject at HL level and minimum 3 points in each DP subject, career related study with at least 3 subjects, IBCP qualification with core components requirement awarded by lB can apply.
  • A minimum 60 percentile in JEE Main. Candidates with 75% aggregate score in Class 12 but JEE Main percentile above 50% may be considered.

or

  • For SAT/BMU-SAT/CUET as per scores specified from time to time. Candidates are advised to take up BMU-SAT in case results of tests are not announced or are not available.
  • Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRls)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are required to have passed the qualifying examination or equivalent from any system of education as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with a minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent and subjects as defined for candidates intending to join professional courses.
  • Under Early Admissions, candidates can apply even if their test scores or Class 12 results are awaited.

Scenario 4 – What after JEE Main result? – Statelevel exams

Even if the three options above do not sync well with your score/percentile/ranks in JEE Main, then you have yet another opportunity to grab, ie: state level examinations for engineering admissions. Not only candidates will get admission chances across good state level engineering colleges, but also candidates from the respective exam state will have the benefit of the domicile and reservation.
